Pros:
- Being Open Source means the user-base would have a say on improvements for the app through contributions. This could push the app/product to become more tailored for the user's needs.
- Splitwise removes the hassle and friction of borrowing money between people.
- Partnerships with PayPal and Venmo enables added features like being able to get reimbursements.
Cons:
- May not work on some cultures and could be offensive too, but this is all based on how the user uses the app.
