DroidAR is an augmented reality framework for Android smartphone devices and can be used non-commercially under the GNU GPL v3 license.
Both marker and location-based augmented reality is possible and the framework can work with several different types of sensors within the Android smartphone: GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer.

Its nice to see that such services came to mobile devices in the end. I use mobile devices more than desktop computers these days. So expecting more from it obviously. Definitely it matters that it is licenced under GNU GPL v3. Good hunt!
