The MaryTTS platform is an open source text-to-speech platform based on the Java programming language that already supports multiple languages such as Italian, German and English.
Speech synthesis has many uses such as applications for the disabled or for use in human-computer interactions. An open source TTS platform such as MaryTTS helps to encourage hobbyists and makers to experiment with text-to-speech and incorporate TTS into their designs.

I had developed in past a mobile application for speaking out Drug names and that time leveraged the Google TTS API. But the downside is that it is paid after a certain point.
I see that this service is helpful in such cases.

I have come across a few TTS programs but most of them have language limitations. Good to see that this one is working on it and is already supporting several languages. Hope more will be added to it soon.
Great project for old people and disabled people. Thanks to its developer its an open source project and I hope other developers can contribute to it to give them the best program. Languages needs to become more as option. Great hunt

The thing I like the most about this program is that it covers many languages and they are going to add more.

I haven't tried this program personally but I saw a YouTube video about it.
Since I am legally blind and currently going back for another college degree California taxpayers have paid for the commercial text-to-speech software I use on my computer. :-)
Okay. Let's hope our fellow hunters would understand the importance of this software enough to upvote it.
