Released as free software under GPL version 2 license openSCAD focuses on precise engineering rather than asethetic appeal. Using the concept of parametic design openSCAD renders the computer 3D model based on a script file describing the object. This allows the user to easily change aspects of the 3D model such as size or shape as needed.
