Horizon Explorer is a new ARCore application that you really want to use. With just a few simple operations, you can find every position you want. You can point the camera at the position you want, And it shows you some basic information as well as details about that location. For example, distance, altitude, name of the location.
The location model you are looking for will be displayed in 3d so you can easily capture the information. I think that the app will work well in all locations around the world, but to maximize the potential, you should pick high places and have good visibility. Thus, the application will not be hindered on the surrounding terrain.
