Chingu is a free Global collaboration platform and coding-cohort generator for developers, designers and data scientists Where they connect a group of motivated learners with the goals to learn, help and build together.
It is a great opportunity for anyone who is in the process of learning to code because Chingu community brings a collection of group projects that everyone is enabled to participate in for free.
Current Cohorts
Currently, Chingu provides three Cohorts (A group of motivated people who are working towards the same goals or with a shared characteristic), You can apply for one of three cohorts.
VOYAGES - Voyages are a team of developers creating a project to build, learn and grow together as developers.
DATA SCIENCE - Data Science Cohorts are in development.
ROAMING DESIGNER - Become a Roaming Designer to put your skills to use in both Voyages and the Data Science Cohorts.

Each Cohort approximately consists of 5 weeks and after that you would be able to join another Cohort.
How it works?
Chingu works quite simply by following a few steps and The first step is to join Chingu which helps you to start your journey in the community and then move forward to join any team and the third step is that the team decide a project to build from where they get an idea to start the process of creating the real world project with a trial and error attempt in the environment of teamwork.
It is an amazing platform for any individual who is learning to code. It is not only helps them to built more projects or as a result help them to create their portfolio for applying job, but It also gives them the knowledge & environment of teamwork without even working at any company.

Amazing hunt @mslifesteem Open Source is always awesome! For me as an designer, it sounds pretty interesting. I should give it a try, since it is free. Would have to need to learn how to code more, my cousin always tries to explain it to me...

Glad to hear that you are a designer, It is an amazing platform. Yeah, you should try once and also take part as a designer because most of developers aren't familiar with the design. it is a great chance for you and other team members to learn more as a teamwork.
It doesn't matter whether your coding skill is basic or having no coding skill because at least you know the initial step of creating a website that is popularly known as design. The more Cohort you join the chances are gonna increase to learn code as well.
