This Portable 3D skin printer prints skin layers on deep wounds and heal the wounds in minutes.

Among the bulky, low speed and expensive 3D bioprinters, this handheld printer is easy to carry and use in clinical treatments.

The skin is printed with bio-ink, the bio-ink is made with protein-based biomaterials.

The current preferred treatment is called split-thickness skin grafting, where healthy donor skin is grafted onto the wound. Grafting on large wounds requires enough healthy donor skin to traverse all three layers, and sufficient graft skin is rarely available. This leaves a portion of the wounded area “ungrafted” or uncovered, leading to poor healing outcomes.

The above problem completely solved by this 3D skin printer.

I know I need a skin graft when a big wound occurs. Also, skin grafts are especially necessary for burns. In general, skin grafts are required to move the skin from the patient's own leg or hip area, and in case of a large cut, artificial skin may need to be implanted. The Portable 3D Skin Printer is likely to be convenient because it is a device that can cover artificial skin directly to a patient's wound.

A cutting edge technique. If it can be further developed and made fast and portable, it can save many lives lost due to accidents.
Imagine a person bleeding to death saved by this.

Th is is totally incredible. We have come quite far with the application of technology in the area of medicine and health. I think apart from minimally invasive surgery, this 3D printer for wound healing ranks as the best.

The best Hunt I saw today. I've wished for this kind of products since I was a teenager (Sci-fi is my favorite genre) I'm still too afraid to try it out. it's still a prototype level technology. I'd like to see more testing and research and hopefully I'd never actually have to use one.

The process will probably require some form of anesthetics as it seems painful. Bu the advantages are numerous. This should also reduce the occurrence of scars after healing. 100% upvoted and resteemd.

Wow, this is some next generation medical treatment! This is the most innovative medical device I have seen in a long time, this kind of advancement could really change how we practice certain types of medical treatments. This technology definitely has the potential to help so many people and so much faster than traditional medicine. AWESOME HUNT!

@sabari18, this is a cool hunt. With technology advancing, this is a must for all medical centers. With the 3D skin printer, you can now see the wounds much more clearly. Also this is an efficient way to clean the wounds without waiting around for a long time for the infection to take deep place. I like the fact that this is portable too which is very convenient. Great hunt.

Grafting is something we've been using for plants for decades. Now with the advent of 3D printers, it's great pleasure to know that we can use this technique to heal wounds in no time. This is very interesting. The very problem of getting plenty of healthy donor skin can be solved with the help of cloning but again that's a very expensive solution.

This is indeed a brilliant product. Healing wounds in minutes is a great achievement and it will help making it even better because the technology in modern times has this potential.

This is unbelievable.I am amazed to read about this innovative device.this is just outstanding.peole who are burnt or who have serious injuries after accidents can be healthy fast through this.It is the revolutionary invention of today time.this is the appreciable solution for many needy person's too who can't afford expensive surgeries.

This is just amazing that heal your wounds in minutes, this printer will be helpful for Diabetes patient because the wounds of a diabetes patient cannot heal quickly it takes a lot of time to recover but this is a great innovation for everyone's health that recovers and heal your wounds in minutes. nice hunt

So people with deep woulds can have a real time skin replacement without expensive surgery. I think this gadget will be super useful for people with burns. Its difficult to regrow skin after suffering severe burns, so this can be very to burn victims.

Sometimes big wounds feel difficultvto be treated well. I can hope that this skin printer is useful for such cases. It will heal the woynds quickly and will give relief.
Thank you for the nice and cool hunt.

I am completely amazed. The idea of skin grafting always had me wonder how often that might not go well. Very glad to see we are able to safely use protein based manufactured material, ¨ink¨ in this case.

This will apparently streamline healing, hopefully reduce risks and suffering as well.

I'm just seeing the video and thinking how wonderful this is! This can save so many lives. This next gen tech can boost up medical treatment. The best part is the 'bio-ink technology. It's a problem solver. Mass adoption of this device can reduce death and other accidental after effects. Great find!

This is unbelievable device because skin is most sensitive part of body. It is useful to graft the deep wound or burn place of body. Now I think it has become basic need of every hospital specially for skin department.

This medical printer can cover skin scarce in few minutes which is incredible to be able to do so. I imagine burns, accidents or other skin injured to be grafted and printed with this device, life saving and could make us look the same.

That is insane! A high tech band-aid wow, what will they think of next. This will make it easier for doctors to treat wounds and better for patients to heal faster without infections. Who would have though 3d printing would be applicable to skin.

This seems like a step in the right direction! Great medical discovery and great hunt! :D

Okay, this is really amazing , 3D tech is the future. Imagine not having to go through intense medical procedures and having such amazing tech on ground. I haven't been a fan of 3D printers but this definitely steals my heart!😃😁..Great hunt!

This seems an awesome machine.
I hope it heels the deep wounds easily and as it never existed before.
Cool hunt.

Tbh it is indeed an impressive hunt and moreover it would be really helpful for patients in need especially burned patients while really liked the way it is portable and easy to use. While I hope it's not gonna effect the person in a bad way, while implementing it.

wow, and i mean it. first i thought this was some tattoo machine, just at first look but this is groundbreaking. this can help people involved in accidents, war victims, fire and hopefully will not be operationally difficult and also won't cost too much i.e. if it isnt operationally intensive. great hunt.

Amazing!

Human skin may be the next canvas for 3D printing. Researchers at the University of Minnesota have also used 3D printers to place electronics directly on to people's skin, and other prototype skin printers already exist.
