A nice little service that allows you to send a message thru a private encrypted link that will self destruct after a certain time elapses.
- Add a Passphrase so only the person who knows it can open it.
- No need to use E mail, you can open the link in any browser
- Expires automatically and is deleted.
I can see uses for this including spies, people cheating on their spouses, people who don'y want to leave traces of their crimes etc. The NSA may be watching you and you want to send a message to your friend, go to a public web terminal and meet in a chat room and exchange the link, only the person who knows the agreed upon passphrase can view the secret message.
Lots of people fear their information has been compromised, this is another tool in that fight to keep private communications private.

Just a little thought occuring while reading this: the obly way this would be sace for sure is to meet up and agree on the password in person (and due to trojans and stuff this password will also only be save for one message) so why not tell in person at first?
Like you said there are little use-cases for this besides crimes and stuff you should not really do. And besides all that why not use an encrypted messenger like telegram or some like that for that reason?

secret seems to be a good way to send encrypted messages easily (with WebCrypto API), I like the characteristic that these messages aren't stored and are destroyed from a certain time. Only negative point, you have to agree on a password before. Great hunt @viraldrome

Security while doing online communication is of utmost importance. I believe a platform like this can help users share encrypted messages that would be difficult to track, provided it is used for ethical purposes.
