well I have two accounts here, @jyezie and @cryptohazard. In both I am almost at 400 posts. I got a few +100 posts but even counting the two I didn't got +20 single people commenting. I feel like some artist in the court of some king, paid to make my art. My point is I have no idea how many people actually read what I write. Even assuming everyone has 5 accounts, that's still way too much. I did try different approaches from game/contest to story where people can join me and write with me. Luckily I found some small community where there are interactions. If no one comments, I won't know what they felt when they read my words.

I was involved in a writing game months ago and really only 4 people (including myself) engaged in it.
I've had posts I thought were great and would get a lot of responses and gotten nothing. I've had others that I didn't think would get much of a reaction that had extensive reactions.
I will say now that it shows views I think we'll be able to get a better idea of how many people actually read it. If you get 100+ up votes but it only says 10 people viewed your post then that is a pretty telling number. That means 90% were people just up voting without reading.
I made a post like that once: pretty picture, false advertising title, nice first line, and the rest just about how no one would read the rest of the post. I actually got some comments, the blessing of not being know. Now I am pretty sure that if I do so, a bandwagon of curators will just upvote and if I am lucky i will get some comments. I guess i could do the experiment.
