Okay, let me introduce top 5 hacks for you so that you can get your effort noticed to this community. That said, the effort is on your side. Don't think that without any effort you will get a decent position here in this community!!
Hack No 1
create quality content
First things first, to get your post noticed by the whales and thereby other members of this community, you should have quality contents in your blog. This needs a lot of effort and your originality. You should keep in mind that plagiarism is strictly prohibited and this attracts flags or downvotes to your post. You will end up with nothing from plagiarism. Also, you wont's get anything from shit posts and trash posts. Steemit wants you to get your realness and originality from you. Memes, photography, poems, stories, science, fiction and basically anything that depicts your realness is highly encouraged. You can also bring your ideas and visions to this community and for sure steemit will help you achieve your vision. You can also act as a blogger and get on board. You should have an eye catching title and thumbnails to attract audience and also your realness and quality in your content.

Gain Some Followers
Followers are those who see your blog on their feed. Sure, more followers will help you grow fast. However, it is not only followers who can see your post. Actually, anyone can see your post. If you have posted recently then anyone can browse the "new" tab and see your post. But how long?? there are so many users posting their content every single minute or second. Your post will be harder to find on the "new" tab after some times. But, if you have followers then your post will stick to their "home" tab. Also your followers can comment and reblog your post. That will also help gain more audience.

Use Minnow Boosters
Minnow boosters are those which helps to boost the post of minnows. There are quite of few of minnow boosters out there, and each of them have their own way of working. To name a few @randowhale, @minnowbooster, @booster are some famous minnow boosters out there. To use @randowhale, you have to send 1 sbd/steem to @randowhale with your blog post as memo. @randowhale will then vote you with random % ranging from 2 to 5. And, to use minnowboosters you need to the same but you will have pre determined upvote result that is proportional to how much you send them. You can go to @minnowbooster to see more offers from them. @booster works kind of differently. Here you have to bet your upvote. If you send more steem/sbd then you will get more upvote value. Use Whaleshares
Yeah, whaleshares!! Ever heard of this before?? If yes, then good! Anyway, this is a project by @officialfuzzy which attempts to help steemit user gain a whale upvote. All you need is a whaleshare token. If you gain whaleshare tokens then you are good to go. You can gain whaleshare tokens from steemit contests, or by trading with other cryptos. Also you can hang on their official discord channel and see what's coming. You might get some whaleshares there, who knows!!

Gain Guild Votes
Yeah, there are curation trials to help you minnows. To name a few @steemvoter and @curie are some of the famous curation trials out there. In @steemvoter, your friend should nominate your post and you would get thousands of upvotes from their trail. Yeah, it is as simple as that. Your friend nominates you in the comment of their post, and if he/she gets high upvote value in his/her nomination comment then you get upvotes from their trial. @curie works kind of differently. You have to pay some small fee if you get selected for their trail vote. You can nominate yourself via streemian website. If you want to know how to do that then let me know in the comment and I will explain you in brief or you can view their steemit posts from their profile @curie. And, some of them are also there which you can upvote if the trial owner thinks your post is worthy. For example, @acidyo runs a trail of 10+ members (approx) and he is a very good curator and he upvotes posts that he thinks are worthy. @papa-pepper is also a good curator and he also holds a small trail of 10+ members (approx).

you can't become a whale over night, it takes time and effort :)

How about reputation, how do increase the value?
You can become a whale instantly if you invest a very large amount of money into STEEM POWER. It isn't the best way though. It is much better to grow your following and reinvest your value so you will become a valuable part of the community and a whale that helps others grow.

No one will make money money on Steemit that doesn't invest in quality.
Another good tactic that goes hand in hand with that is to write quality comments. Comments are too often overlooked. Not only is it a good way to engage with the author, it encourages people to visit your blog and leave valuable comments. In addition to that, the author of the original post and you can benefit financially from comment upvotes!
