I want to make a proposal to Steemit developers to make it a rule that you can only vote on the same authors a maximum of 4-5 times per week to help curate new authors, so people are not just voting on the same authors every day. This will give new authors a chance to stand out and it will make curators look for new good content so they are not just following only the top earners in the Steemit statistics. Right now we have a system where people are only following the top earners and only voting on the same exact authors every day, why not give new authors a chance to stand out?
If you curate a new author who has not earned very much yet and they end up in the top pages of Steemit your reward should be higher then if you just curated someone who is in the top pages daily.
If we create an atmosphere that only rewards the same authors every day and excludes new content creators is this really good for the platform? When I first joined Steemit everyone was curating new users not just a few people who have been the top earners for a long time. I feel sad 
that we are turning this into a platform of only follow the top earners and up vote on the same people everyday and exclude new users kind of club. If this turns into a club where we only curate the same authors every day I have a feeling this site won't last to see the glory days of Facebook and Twitter. I am not saying to up vote crap but that we need to include everyone into the platform not just the top earners. Don't you want to see the platform grow big like Facebook? If we welcome new users the platform will be better for it and grow bigger and stronger.

I'd be up for it having a more diluted effect if you keep upvoting the same author..but people of course should be able to upvote whatever they like.
I feel like people aren't searching for new authors though like they used to with the new feed option a lot of people just vote on the top earners daily for the most payout for their buck. I think it might be a good idea to give a bigger reward to curators if you find a new good author that hasn't stood out yet that way the site doesn't just turn into a circle jerk of only vote on the top earners.
I am 100% on board with that. I try to spend more time on new posts like this one than on the trending items. Of course your payout for being the first to upvote something that ends up trending is huge. But that is less likely than something that is already trending going higher.
I would like to see this grow into an unstoppable monolith that causes every system in the galaxy to cower. So yeah kind of like Facebook.

I greed with you because every new authors should give a chance for voting , some of new authors are dis heart due to not getting any votes on their posts .
I see your intent but that wont be healthy too. Diversifying is the key. Find a niche where you can contribute and add value. The more niche we generate the more it becomes better for all of us.

but need to think carefully these changes with improved payment system.
sometimes just do not want to look for a new author, sometimes it simply does not have the time, but sometimes you want to find a new author.
