Menjadi orang yang disukai oleh orang banyak adalah suatu kesenangan tersendiri, terlebih bagi orang yang senang dipuji dan suka pada aktualisasi diri. Namun tidak semuanya demikian, karena sebagian orang juga lebih menyukai menjadi orang yang disegani dan dihormati oleh orang banyak.
Lautan steemit juga memiliki karakter yang tidak jauh berbeda dengan dunia nyata. Lautan steemit memiliki para steemian yang sebagiannya mencari ketenaran dan existensi diri serta disukai oleh para steemian lain, namun ada juga yang memilih menjadi seorang steemian yang super power dan disegani serta di hormati oleh para steemian lain.
Dalam dunia steemit, jika kita ingin menjadi steemian yang tenar dan disukai oleh steemian lain, maka kita harus fokus untuk menjadi SteemitStar. Untuk menjadi seorang SteemitStar maka kita harus fokus pada reputasi, kualitas konten, dan konsistensi postingan serta menjaga hubungan dengan para follower kita. Sehingga akan tercipta suatu suasana sosial yang hangat dan membawa kesenangan tersendiri dalam melakukan interaksi di dunia steemit.
Ada banyak cara untuk meningkatkan reputasi, namun sejatinya reputasi di steemit akan meningkat jika mendapat vote yang besar. jadi fokuslah untuk meningkatkan reputasi menjadi diatas 70 jika ingin menjadi seorang SteemitStar.
Lain halnya jika kita ingin menjadi steemian yang disegani dan dihormati oleh para steemian lain, yang dikarenakan kita mempunyai kekuatan yang besar dan mampu melakukan sesuatu yang fatal terhadap orang lain. Steemian tipe seperti ini, sering disebut oleh para steemian dengan istilah Whale. Syarat untuk menjadi Whale di dunia steemit adalah memiliki Steem Power yang besar ( >100.000 SP ), maka fokuslah untuk membesarkan Steem Power (SP).
Whale tidak memerlukan follower atau pun reputasi tinggi. Namun tidak ada yang berani main2 dengan Whale, karena akan berakibat fatal jika whale tersebut marah. Dampak yang bisa ditimbulkan oleh Whale yang marah adalah reputasi kita bisa jatuh jauh ke kebawah, dan juga hilangnya nilai vote yang kita peroleh jika kita kena Flag oleh whale.
Anda berani ganggu Whale?
Yang perlu diingat adalah Seorang SteemitStar tidak bisa menghancurkan Whale, namun Whale bisa dengan mudah untuk menghancurkan seorang SteemitStar.
Dilain sisi, Whale juga mampu dengan mudah membuat seorang steemian biasa menjadi Steemitstar dalam waktu singkat.
