Corporate Whales - part 2

in #steemit10 years ago (edited)

In an endeavour to ask the question on if/how business might be able to leverage steemit for their own brand, I found this article on, "How Your Business Can Cash in on New Social Network Steemit’s Meteoric Rise" - which I found interesting given some earlier commentary on Corporate Whales via https://steemit.com/steemit/@adamt/corporate-whales.

Some of the comments to my earlier post that questioned value, motivation and basically, "they couldn't be bothered". This articles highlights the "opportunity is to build up some Steem Power now and potentially enjoy a large increase in that authority if the platform continues to rocket in terms of user base and engagement", with the opportunity to establish a powerful brand.

For consideration as another point of view and engagement.

There has to be a proof of concept. Some company has to demonstrate that they can benefit greatly from the platform with an intelligent strategy that the community appreciates and upvotes to demonstrate their desire for more of the same behavior.

Good post! Followed and upvoted!

Thanks - am really keen on following this topic - dilemma is that if, somehow, steemit can be used by corporates to their benefit, what impact will it have on individual submission and originality of thought - will they be drowned out by the song of the corporate whale?
