Things I wish I knew before starting a blog on STEEMIT.
When I went to high school there was a big sign in the classroom: Every begining is hard. Yep, there are people born with luck but most of us have to work hard to succeed and there is nothing bad. It`s the same with steemit. You can not expect to become a milllionaire the first week you join the platform. And believe me the first post I made was a disaster. I confront the problem that my profile is fake. But that was not the only problem. I didn`t have any followers and God I didn`t have a clue how to grow my own community. And in my opinion that was my biggest problem. And I had to figure out how to resolve this problem. I know that this would be very hard task. You know why. Let me tell you:
Nice advice, right? Mine is sooo shitty. But what is done is done. That`s actually my first and last name. But whatever.. So.. be creative when choosing your user name. This will be the first thing the other users will see. Overthink it well. The best part is that you can write a different name for the blog like me – The Pink Jellybean
I have already told you about my issues. Write your user name on a list and take a picture with it. It will be good if you put the logo of steemit.
This is a platform where you have to write an original texts. So have to be with the pictures you share. Cause you know it wo`nt be cool for ya if someone steel your article or a picture you made.
Okay. I have to confess that sometimes I write as well comments like “ great shot” or “welcome to steemit”. It`s okay to write once or twice a day comments like this. But when you read articles/posts and you write a meaningful comment whis will be noticed and appreciated. Believe me this is a hard task –writing comments- but you can find so interesting people from whom you can learn so much. In the light of this I want to say thank you @stackin you rock! I found his profile accidently. But he is a great motivator and you should follow his blog definitely
As I said it is not easy. You have to spend long time to steemit to make researches to write good posts. But believe me it worth it.
So this is really important. Last month I focused on this task. Cause you know even if you write like William Shakespeare and you don`t have followers then no one will know about you. Perphaps this is the most important thing will now. Write regulary posts but not to much cause no one likes the spam. Maybe three time a week is okay. That is a thing I should work on this year.
We love stemmit is a place where you can find a lot of steemians. So waste no time and join in. Steemit chat is another option. In fact there I found @vindy. We like each others posts regulary. So this is a good idea when it comes to finding new friends on steemit.
Yeah, sure it is great that you can earn money while blogging. This is an awesome motivation. But if you want to earn money, post qualified articles. You need to have patience and work hard and appreciate the other steemians.

First, Steemit is not popular at all in my country ( Bulgaria). There is a facebook group and guess the number of the members. Well it`s around 90. And we, bulgarians, own this shitty specific feature that we barely support each other but while writing this post an idea was born. I will write a post in the group in which i appeal everybody who wants to be followed to write me a private message and later i`ll write the result if there is any of course. I tell all of my friends about steemit but they are suspicious about earning money on a social media but I will not give up of promoting this amazing platform. So let us turn to this new social media platform. I knew that My new experience wouldn`t be like any another. This was a whole new social media. This was not a platform like facebook or instagram where I joined today believe me I would have at least 200 friends by tomorrow.
Second, checking the most popular posts I realized that the well paid posts are related with crypto currencies. And guess what I don`t understand anything about them.
So I had two choices: to give up or to keep on writing posts to know my strengths and I believe everyone has its own. And I chose the second, obviously :D. I gathered myself together and as I`m working as a marketer, who graduated PR and love writing. I decided to build a strategy of gaining followers. I`ll write list of things I wish I knew when I started writing on steemit. ( That was two months ago).
1) Choose a cool username

Steemit is definitely a revolution in the field of social medias today. I like it cause it makes me more creative, makes me learning new things and not justposting pictures. Steemit made one of my dreams to come true – having an own blog.
10) There`s nothing wrong or bad to ask people for resteeming the post in the end of it, to upvote it.
But do not get me wrong. Don`t spam under the posts of others in the sections of comments: “ Followed you, follow me back” or “ Upvoted, upvote my posts” This is not the way, trust me. See my post. It is a good marketing tip to remind the users to resteem, retweet and etc.11) Use videos
Cause they reach people more efficientthen post with only pictures and textes.12) BE GREATFUL
