Here is the link to take posting permissions away from anybody you have given them to.

Yesterday we signed up with decentmemes.app.

They asked for our active key but only really needed our posting key.

We were a little confused by why they would do that.

So today, thanks to the good whale, @berniesanders, when we woke up he had posted the link to revoke streemian's permission to use your keys:

https://v2.steemconnect.com/revoke/@streemian

We modified the link to reflect our desire to revoke decentmemes.app:

https://v2.steemconnect.com/revoke/@decentmemes.app

You can simply change the username to fit whatever account you need to revoke.

We recommend that if you have given decentmemes your active key that you either revoke it, or better change it and revoke it.

We changed ours but didn't like them being shown in our steemd as having our permission.

So we revoked it, too.

Now, there is no proof that decentmemes has anything but good intentions.

We just don't like being asked to give permissions we are not comfortable with.

Streemian did the same thing.

Once FBA figured out what the hell an active key was, he asked streemian what was the purpose of obtaining his active key when they only needed the posting key.

They responded that they were going to do more than just post with his account.

Yikes!

That covers a lot of ground, not all of it compatible with our desires.

We never did like the idea of curation for rewards, and not content.

So, he changed his passwords, and many months later found the revoke key and got them out of steemd.

Today we see that streemian has used their 'authority' to vote themselves to the top of the trending page.

Good thing they didn't have our keys, or we would be disappointed with them, too.

You have to do what you do.
