So as the new update for coins.ph has just rolled out on the play store today, the etherium wallet, something came up to our mind, me and my classmate @symonp tried to see if how much more could we save on transaction fee by using etherium on blocktrades to coins.ph.
This tutorial would be mainly for filipinos as coins.ph is the first and only wallet app in the Philippines to have supported etherium with just a one time fee of 20 pesos for creating the wallet. Note that only their mobile app supports the etherium wallet for now.
So to start, you will need of course 20 pesos in your balance to create your etherium wallet. Once you had 20 pesos already on your balance, swipe to create.
Now that you already had an etherium wallet let us proceed by getting your etherium wallet address.
To copy just go to receive and select my etherium wallet address, just click that copy button and save your address for use later.
Now after you had copied your wallet address go to this site:
https://blocktrades.us/
In this site transactions are much easier as you will not be needing to create an account.
In the send option select STEEM DOLLARS or STEEM whatever is available on your account.
In the receive option select Etherium.
Now on the receive address, place the etherium address on your coins.ph that you had copied earlier. Then click on Get Deposit Address (For privacy reasons I masked my wallet address)
Then select manual transfer. As you can see the transaction fee as of now is only 0.06 SBD = 0.21 USD or in PHP only 10.74 Pesos. After that, copy the memo for blocktrades as we will need it for the transfer.(For privacy reasons I masked my wallet address)
Now go to your wallet in steemit, select transfer.
Now fill in the details, place blocktrades as the receiver and the place the memo that you had copied on blocktrades to the memo of the transaction. Then click on submit. It will ask you for your password for confirmation then click ok.
You have now transferred your steem dollars to coins.ph with less fee. If you learned something from this post, please resteem so that many will know about this, and many could get more from their hard earned steem/steem dollars.
