I took a few months break from being active on Steemit in the gaming scene. So now i return and i learned that Dlive.io is no longer on the Steem Blockchain anymore. So i thought "now what i do".
Dtube Streaming?
So i googled for streaming on Dtube, since that is my 2th fav Dapp on the Steem Blockchain, and sure enough i find a video posted a few months back showing how to livestream on Dtube. Little did i know that feature is not live yet.
Vimm.tv
So i joined the Dtube Discord and someone told me to use Vimm.tv for livestreaming now Dlive is gone. And today i made my first attempt at it. I even managed to use my PS4 to stream to it :) That might not seem like a big deal, but normally you can only stream with PS4 to either Youtube or Twitch, but i found a workaround.
So i start streaming and i have 0 viewers for the entire stream duration lol. So i check out other streams and i find out that there are only 5 streams on the entire platform lol ?
So i don't know how long Vimm has been online or anything, but it sure as hell looks like nobody is using it. Did everyone leave Steemit and go to Dlive or something?
Vimm looks very nice
And its a shame since i really like the look and feel of Vimm, as well as the features they offer. Sure its pretty basic stuff for now, but it does seem to work pretty good.
But if Vimm does not get more attention, it feels just useless for me to even try and stream on there. I can only hope for more people joining in rapidly, or just wait for Dtube livestreaming...
