You forgot to mention that fact that the number of account means absolutely NOTHING. I can create many accounts, every single day, and guess what? None of them will ever be used.

yes the number of active accounts is actually around only 25,000 or so right? I cant tell because steemd.com/distribution is down and yeah the number or actual active users is probably close to that! But its still growing but yes this is why steem price hasn't been going up as much as we expect, the new accounts mean nothing exactly!
What we need is more active users! And THEN with more active users and people who earn steem and see the value of steemit we will have people buying steempower which will finally start us on our way to $10 steem.
yes, it always gave me a very bad feeling when i see the claims of 100s of thousands of steemit accounts, when in actuality there are about 3000 active, to say there are that many accounts like it means anything is very shady, cause its a lie
