New Steemit feature: Quora-style Q&A with paid bounties!

in #steemit8 years ago

For users who need a question answered and need it answered fast, or answered really well, bounties would allow us to incentivise other Steemians to open up that storehouse of knowledge they've been keeping to themselves and share it for the benefit of humanity.

So here's an idea for the developers of Steemit: allow users to post questions and offer a bounty for the best answer!

The mechanics of this system would have to be worked out ahead of time of course. For instance, would the "best answer" be selected by the Questioner, or would it be the answer that receives the most community endorsement during a defined timeframe? That choice could even be left up to the Questioner when he first posts the question.

Bounty-based Q&A would give Steem currency even more utility, and thus more value. It would allow Steemit to replace not just Reddit but Quora and Stackoverflow too. By giving Steemians a place to spend their Steem, more of it would be kept off Bittrex.

So what do you guys think of my idea?

I think automating it would create a vast web of perverse incentives. :) But I like the idea!

yes that would be an awesome system.

and because the best answers will get rewards, its a great way to monetize your knowledge.

OMG! Excellent idea! My idea was to provide a function to earn a comission for referring people to Steemit.

And reward should be SteemDollar!
Man! this is great IDEA!

This good idea, and to earn a comission for referring people to Steemit too

It is a excellent idea. It will be a critical weapon for expanding market.
