Thoughts on a recent email from the SNT team

in #steemit7 years ago

Below is an email I received from the SNT team and it sounds like they have some things coming up. I'm not sure how I feel about them but I believe in what they could eventually be so for now I'll just HODL. Anyone else have any feelings towards SNT?

Hi Everyone,

It's been a little while since our last email update, and development has been progressing swiftly since the Contribution Period towards the end of June.

If you've been following our progress on Github, you may have noticed we've expanded our team significantly, and have quietly pushed out some new updates. This week marks the release of Status 0.9.10 (alpha). This version enables location, send and request commands in group chats, a number of bug fixes, and further progress on the Network Switching epic. You can read all about it from here.

We're also pleased to announce that our first User Survey and Fireside Chat (a Public Q&A) is scheduled for today, Thursday, August 17th at 16:00 CEST. This will take place in the #general channel of Slack, and you can read more about it from here.

The link for the survey is here: https://status2.typeform.com/to/vagbHk and your feedback will help to drive some of Status’ product decisions as we continue to work towards a beta release - so please try find some time to work through it!

We've opened up another 1,000 invites to Android users, which you can test from here. We will be sending iOS invites out via email shortly to those who complete the survey in its entirety, and the next 8,000 people in queue.

Status is still in alpha, so bugs are to be expected, but hopefully this release provides a glimpse at where we're heading. Be sure to come join our Slack Community to provide us with some feedback.

Regards,
Jarrad, Carl & The Status Team
