Perhaps on some occasions we have noticed a certain deficiency in the capacity of our sense of sight and we consider it as something temporary that is then solved. However, we could be diminishing our sense without realizing that their performance could depend to a large extent on what we eat.
In particular, the eyes need beneficial nutrients every day. There are certain foods that directly participate in the metabolism of the eye and its nervous signal, so that following a varied and balanced diet can contribute to a normal sight.
As for vitamins, it is known that carrots contain beta carotene. Beta carotene has a precursor function of vitamin A that contributes to the correct maintenance of sight. Other sources of vitamin A in the diet are spinach, broccoli, cabbage, cabbage, sweet potatoes and eggs.
Also a correct contribution of antioxidant, will favor the process of ocular gratitude, thus delaying the oxidation of the structures and the degeneration of the tissues.
Regarding minerals, zinc contributes to the maintenance of a normal view and the metabolism of vitamin A. Whole grains, nuts, legumes, red meats and seafood are good sources of zinc.
Finally, phytonutrients are important for eye health, since they are concentrated in the retina and the lens of the eye. Among the foods that we could eat that are rich in phytonutrients we have: lemons, oranges, spinach and corn among others.
As we see a correct diet can help us improve different aspects of our eyesight, as well as delay the processes of tissue removal of our eye area.
