Altough I'm not informed enough to how the search engines work, I did see the kinds of posts you are talking about, and it is indeed something that needs more attention than currently giving.
First and foremost, a post should be voted based on the quality of information provided within the post, and after that take into consideration everything else.
I can't do much to change how other people spend their time in here, but what I can do is to make sure that my own posts don't reseble that which I do not wish others do.
