Due to the amount of followers people have, they told them to basically not waste their precious time on writing detailed articles or replies, because it wouldn't give them the necessary exposure they needed to reap decent rewards... - And personally, I think it's wrong to say something like that.
You're right, and I can't believe people would ever say that to anyone. Oh well, the less people that try, the more opportunity for people like you. Keep plugging away, you will get noticed, and then suddenly it will be like a snowball effect :-)
The reason, at least from my understanding, was that it's a waste of time to write for 2-3 hours and get basically nothing for it. - And they won't be rewarded for it due to the followers they have. - However, I strongly believe it would be better to produce quality content and gain followers for starters. - That's how I believe you'll reap rewards in the long run. Followers is way more important than $, especially in the beginning.
However, thanks for the encouragement, I appreciate it. :)
Yes, you have to find a balance, I think 2 hours is probably the maximum when you're new.
Even me, I try and keep it to 2-3 hours; although sometimes, with research, finding pictures, resizing and all of that, it takes longer.

I hear you! - Balance. That's a word I'll have to use more often. Thank you. :)
