This is a big milestone for Steemit. I'm sure there are lots of bots as well, but it's still a great achievement.
100,000 for 7 days is better than I thought. I always hear about the 60,000 daily users.
After all, the same users are not active every day. Some users are dayly active, but others are only every few days. So in a whole week are more users active, than at a single day.
Yeah. It would probably be good if we had a program to help people become more active.

I'd be curious to see how many of these accounts belong to unique individuals, and how many are bot-farms.

Mich würde interessieren, wieviel Menschen hindter dieser 1 Million Accounts stecken. Ich tippe auf weniger als 100000.
Bei der Registrierung eines neuen Accounts über https://signup.steemit.com/ wird eine Mobilfunknummer benötigt. Da der größte Teil der Accounts wahrscheinlich auf diesem Weg angelegt wurde, denke ich dass die Anzahl der Menschen hinter diesen Accounts wohl doch größer als 100000 ist. Allerdings waren die meisten davon nur kurz aktiv.
Einen Steemaccount kann man für weniger als 10 Dollar kaufen, einfach danach googeln. Ich kenne Leute, die haben mehrere hundert Accounts.
Das man Accounts für wenige Dollar kaufen kann, ist mir durchaus bewusst. Außerdem kann man weitere Accounts selbst erstellen, wenn man schon in Besitz eines Accounts ist. Das ist dann sogar noch deutlich günstiger. Aber dennoch bin ich der Meinung, dass mehr als 100.000 Menschen hinter den 1.000.000 Accounts stecken. Man müsste mal zählen, wie viele Accounts von @steem erzeugt wurden. Dies dürfte dann zumindest der Anzahl verwendeter Mobilfunknummern entsprechen.
I believe in Steemit, people can grow up and succesfull together better than other social media. Steemit is so much fun better than I think before.

No, I don't think so. Only 1 millon accounts. There are many people, having more than one account.
Many people come to Steemit wanting easy money, without knowing the community, without support or anything that ends up disenchanting them.
Imagine having a Facebook profile without friends, a Twitter without followers or a Youtube channel without reproductions.
It would be great in the future to cope with those things and create support communities like Steemschool.

Ich denke, dass deshalb nur ein Teil der Accounts aktiv ist, weil es doch etwas zeitaufwendiger ist vernünftige Posts zu tätigen. Steemit kann man nicht mit einer Plattform wie Facebook vergleichen, wo viele User nur Müll hineinstellen, der rasch abgesondert wird. Finde Steemit von der Idee wesentlich attraktiver.

I've been tring to get my friends to join, but most of them have never heard of crypos and when I tell thats what bitcoin is they keep saying "didn't that just crash" and remain very sceptical. Most people don't tend to try new things until everyone else is already using them

At this moment I am not too positive about what is happening. There seems to be an enormous increase in accounts that only post videos found elsewhere on the internet. They follow everybody. When you look at their account the have about 300 followers and are following 5500+ people.
This all seems pretty much bot-managed.
Yes, we may be worried about it. Other people build groups in order to get some influence. Nothing else...
