Grant Gustin plays Barry Allen/The Flash in the most lovable way
He plays the smart-guy well, but he never tries to compete for intelligence with his even-smarter friends. He’s got this hero complex that just makes you love him, even though he sometimes doesn’t have his own best interest in mind. It’s a very genuine performance, you never feel like Grant is trying to hard to make it work. I dont have to be his fan to accept that he is improving a lot. From being newborn Flash to Flash Kid mentor, so far he managed to show us he can do it.
Learning the Flash’s backstory is fascinating
When we first meet Barry, he’s this 25-year-old guy working at a job he loves, but isn’t with the girl that he loves. It’s interesting to watch his focus slowly leave his love life (but not disappear, superheroes date too) as he grows. We’re just waiting for the day that Superman or Batman swing by, even if it takes years to come.
It’s based on 'The Flash' comic books
The show does an amazing job bringing both the characters and plot to life from the DC comic books. However, you don’t need to read the comics to understand the series, because the show can stand on its own. It’s only based on the comics, and puts its own interesting twist to the story of Barry Allen.
Cool villains
Fans can see villains such as Captain Cold, the Trickster, and the Reverse-Flash brought to life in the series. Each villain has its own backstory, and with the help of Cisco, Harrison Wells, and Caitlin, the Flash is set to stop them all. The casts for the villains also great and understand their character to ensure it is on par or even better with the comic/animated series.
Good points! One more reason... my school age daughter says it's the best show there is!
It is abit cheesy but acceptable :) *it is so much lighter compare to Arrow/Iron Fist/Daredevil and other netflix superheroes series.
