[SERIOUS] I saved a young girls life just 15 minutes ago

Amazing.

This happened no longer than 15 minutes ago.

I had just finished a quick meal in the city, and had walked out onto the street to cross the road at the traffic lights.

As I am standing there, a young girl, probably about 17 years old walked up to the lights in a bit of a hurry, she was wearing headphones and I could see she was in a bit of a rush.

It is night here, we were at a busy intersection in the middle of the biggest city in my country. The lights changed to orange, and the girl started to inch forward, at the very last second she ran and jumped right into the road, as though she was about to bolt across the st.

I looked beyond her and there was was car flying through the lights to get through in time before the red light turned.

This girl was literally about to be roadkill, she was not looking in the direction that the car was coming at all.

I screamed at the top of my lungs WHOA WHOA WHOAAAA!!!!.

It was all I could muster in this split second event.

She heard me, and immediately jumped back onto the footpath.

After a few seconds, she turned to me and mouthed "Thank you!!!"

I could not believe it.

Honestly, I just saved that girls life. If I was not standing there, she would have run directly in front of that car that was probably doing about 30mph.

It is so strange to think, what if i just took a bit longer to eat, what if I wasn't there, at that exact moment?

It feels amazing to have done something like this today. Nothing has ever happened in my life like that before.

I saved her life, and it feels amazing to be a superhero for a day.

haha no, I was just happy enough to save her life, just wanted to share my story. It is a pretty amazing experience man, no money needed. The reward was saving someones life! :D

Wow man that is insane. Amazing what peeps do for others ? lol

Yes! In times of trouble, it is amazing how we do all pull together. There is nothing like it. We really are one big family, for the most part. :)

Her parents would be so grateful if they knew. Good deed for the year, I say. What a relief!

@littlescribe, it was my good deed for the year, but I did another one the other day too, someone left rubbish on the beach, I picked it up! :P

heh.
