Investors easily make money, big whales swim with big investments. Small fish think they cannot achieve great goals, the problem is in us and our beliefs. We determine our own position, where we want to be. If we talk about Steemit then we have to understand that Steemit is 90% business and 10% social networking. It is normal for investors to vote for their posts and dear friends, family. If you get paid, I'm sure you do not share it with people you do not know, you spend it on your desires. We do not need to be mad at whales, they raise our value, Steemit is made in such a way that big whales depend on small fish in the same ecosystem. 30 days ago my upvote was worth over 20 SBD, now it's worth less than 10 SBD. The point is that many new users are coming out who do not do any activity. But not all of us are really bloggers, many who came to steemit just wanted social networking, just posting anything, they have been lured on the prospect of earning, but don't really mind the earnings in plain blogging.
For example in Steepshot, judging what is quality can be very subjective right, but people will still post.
You are right, in saying that steemit is 90% business(with strategy) and just 10% social networking (mindless posting, just posting the way we learned it from fb, twitter and instagram, etc..)
To conclude it, the winner on steemit, is " the one who can enjoy his content with relative amount of earnings (or investments) proportional to his conscious efforts".

Ya que son muchas las cosas que hay que aprender solo para manejar bien todas las herramientas asociadas a steemit. Lo digo por experiencia propia, llegué aquí gracias a una amiga. Pero por vivir en otro estado la comunicación era solo telefónica así que me veia en un mar de cosas por hacer que no entendía.
