instead of cashing out everything one should increase their steem power 50% of what they earn at least . going 100% increasing steem power is also advisable . when your account is a plant just provide more nutrients and supplements once it becomes tree it will give you fruits :)

The most users are not patient and looking for fast easy money without understanding the concept. They dont even take time to do some research about what they should do and should avoid here. They dont see themselves with the whales in the future, because they plan to cash out some money and leave. Unfortunately thats the reality of many users here :(

I find this post very interesting already. I just joined Steemit a couple of days ago and to be honest, I have a lot I would share but for now, since I am still a beginner, I resolved to just sit back and observe what people are doing and I have learnt a lot, and still learning. To be frank, I have no intentions of posting yet for some more time, save for a few comments or so. I do not rush into things I know little or nothing about. This post has really added to what I have learnt today though I haven't tried the school yet (don't know if I will anyway) because of the comments from @toresto about spamming, and I don't like the idea of using bots. I just can't split the word "spam" from "bots". I feel their main duty is to inconvenience people. But thanks anyway. I appreciate your post.
What you're doing is great actually and I wish more people who join this platform are willing to do the same - do a lot of research and learn! A lot of people come here and expect to make lots of money on every post they make. It takes a lot of time and effort to get noticed here and make good connections.
After 13 months here I can say that I even made some true, honest friends from all over the world that I stay in touch on daily basis (outside Steemit) and I still have posts that get less than 1$ payout. :)
And yes, there are people in Steem Schools who do that "follow me, upvote me" thing but one of the things we try to teach them that's NOT the right way to interact with other users, because it won't get them anywhere.

I just got a feeling that everyone here is chasing after money and not for good content.

You are right. I observed this too, almost everyone is after money. When I came onboard I expected to socialize, get connected, share ideas, and then money comes after all, but unfortunately, the majority don't care about whatever, it's money all the way from hellos to goodbyes. I have no intentions of giving up any time soon. That is why I am taking my time. I know that soon I will be advising beginners just the way you are trying to do here. I'm only wondering, if #steemit had life, it would definitely die from the pressures people mount on it on a daily. I mean if not for my mindset, I would say 'in just a couple of days I've been here, I need air already' ;-)

one thing i can say for steem schools is that they try to teach people how to write good comments. now if you learn how to write a good comment but you do it professionally it could be one type of spam, quality spam :) but on the other hand if you learn to make quality comments and you do that for posts that you are in to then that is ok.
i joined steem schools discord group a week ago, listened to some live classes, followed some work, i am not active, some things that they do i support, some are not my cup of tea, and that is normal. i still don't want to look on steemit as a business, because i have my "regular work" and this is fun for me, but then i have to lover my expectations.
The money problem is in one part because everyone is promoting steemit as a platform on which (i always miss spell this as witch :) ) you can earn money, and most of the people go to steemit with that idea in their heads. i am not sure who said this to me but "you must look on whales like on the children of the rich parents, they will always have money with little effort :), so you must not let that frustrate you.
Only bloggers with knowledge have a power with real knowledge, keep going.

I am a student of the #steemschools, and I must say that @dobartim and his team are doing a great job helping other steemians grow here. I joined #steemschools 2 weeks ago and I must say the principles of success and the strategies for growing on steemit that I have learnt in #steemschools is not what I have learnt in other places. @dobartim gives us practical strategies to succeed here.
Well, for those of you who don't know @dobartim, let me tell you something about him that he had already written in one of his blogs before. He is a very good and humble man. He was very poor and broke before, but gradully he worked his way to success from nothing. Now, he's got lots of companies in different countries yet he spends nothing less than 10 hours everyday in #steemschools teaching the students the business strategies that has made him a success.
Now, people are expecting that he will just go about upvoting everybody's blog and give them some cents. Okay, peradventure he does that one day, are you expecting him to do that the rest of his life? No. He won't. Insteading of just giving people fish to eat today and it gets finish tomorrow and you go back to being hungry again, @dobartim is teaching us at #steemschools how to catch the fish ourselves so that we won't go hungry again. And I think I prefer this model of leadership than the former.
So, when next time anyone thinks of laying accusing fingers on #steemschools, think of all the sacrifice the leaders are making them, @,dobartim, @d-pend, @flysky. They give their best there to make steemit a better community.
Also, I have not seen anyone begging for upvotes or follow in #steemschools. Definitely, not when I have been there.
I love #steemschools and I'll keep learning here. I ain't going nowhere.

I would be very happy if I could ever get to a level where I earn around $500 per month just on Steemit. Time is the problem at the moment, I'm struggling to write even just 1 post per day. I just hope that I'll get there eventually, even if I sometimes skip a few days.
Step by step, success is a process
When I started on Steemit I was in the dark and didn't really know what was going, and what to do to maximise my time and energy here. I tell you, those are the days/weeks when a lot of people give up. When you pour your heart out on a post and do your best job only to be rewarded with a $0 or 1 Cent, that is enough to send you packing. But you have to be mentally strong and keep the bigger picture in mind.
Therefore this is why community support groups like Steem Schools are a necessity. As a newbie if anything, you need direction, someone to hold you by the hand and guide you properly on your path to financial freedom here on Steemit. Most importantly, you need direction, guidance, motivation and reassurance that you are in the right place and that your efforts will pay off. However, it won't happen over night. You will reach your financial goals but you will have to work for it. Like Napoleon Hill said, "there is no such thing as getting something for nothing". You have to be willing to learn, to do things the right way and to invest and maximise your time and energy here, then you will see your earnings beginning to improve.
I do believe that Steem Schools provide the necessary education and tools to get everyone, on all levels, moving in the right direction. Even as a Dolphin or Whale, etc. We all need a constant reminder of how awesome of a project Steemit is and why it is in everybody's interest to add value to this platform. Steem Schools does just that. Education, Direction, Guidance, Motivation, Community, Friendship ...family.

I find it MUCH easier to learn and grow in a small & intimate group rather than a group of 1000's people. I have tried following and being active in steemit school but its so difficult when everyone wants to be heard, sometimes nobody even bothers to answer you because they don't know you nor do they care because everyone has a different objective.
I am not here to discourage anyone, that is just my experience so far since I joined.

The problem with people these days is that they always want to look for somewhere and someone to blame for mistakes.... I am pretty sure that i and few others are active in the steemit school and have tried our very best to reply,we have admins and other roles of different time zones running around to see that happen,we make sure to answer the questions of every member as long as they ask even though few wants to ask about things like getting account back after phising when steemit even says password cannot be recovered and they want to blame us for not answering that.
We get compliments of people who are surprised of how we manage to keep up with the growing numbers but then we can only get to our mission if we work together,i am pretty sure you weren't persistant about asking your questions...if people have questions let them ask,even admins are ok with dm so there's no reason to say you were ignored because i'm sure u didn't really try asking.
If you see something not to your expectation you can only suggest it to us and we will fix and see to it happily...you can always try it out again i'm sure you will give a different remark this time and u must understand we are humans and are doing our best and it will be nice if that is respected
