I believe you should vote however you want. Though I am one of those that things you should either not vote, or up vote. Downvote should be reserved for spam, plagiarism, or abuse. That's my windmill to tilt at though. You should do what works for you.

I agree that downvotes should be kept for spam and abuse. And voting should be done very deliberately and sparingly. But I also think that everyone should do as they please! I loved Norbu's comment that showed a completely different point of view. I upvoted that so it gets its rightful place at the top of the comments.
