Wow! So great to read your thoughts.
Interesting that you brought up The Red Cross. My Grandmother ran the British Red Cross for many years - just an aside - but she was a hell of a woman!
Yes, with your comments about the care being not just financial - you are absolutely right - my own version is to teach fishing and supply a fishing rod, rather than supply fish. Invariably, it is listening which is the catalyst to averting a relapse.
Each of those situations are, in fact, absolutely true. They are all a reality being faced right now.
Turning a blind eye to such things is not my gig, and dare I say it, not yours either.
My desire is to ensure that the foundations, design, values and delivery of this account are of the steemit community. If it is me - it becomes an @ebryans thing - it needs to be a steemit thing of which the community can be proud.
You know what would be very helpful to the concept is if you were to write a post, outlining how you see it being a worthwhile cause. You clearly have an affinity with it but I would like to get people engaged - at their level - what do they care about - how would they like to see such an account managed and handled. Would they contribute if they thought it had the attributes they would look for?
What are your thought s about that?
Thank you again. It means a lot that you have thought about this as you have
All the best to you
