RE: Why is Steem market cap bombing while Bitcoin and others fly ever higher?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

When did you buy?

I bought most of mine over $2. Very painful to see it drop but only becasue i wish I could have bought it so cheap. I was able to then buy over half the steem I bought initially for less than half what I paid before in the glorious time mid July where it was under $1. Oh how I wish I could go back and buy more...

And that's my point, you bought at $2?
GREAT!
If you were able to invest again at $1 the same amount you did at $2 you'd see it pay for itself exponentially by $1.35.

Example:

$2 = $2,000 <<<----- We buy 1,000 tokens for $2000
(No. of tokens = 1,000)
Total cost/debt = $2,000
Profit: $0

$4 = $4,000

(No. of tokens = 1000)
Total cost = $2,000
Profit: $2,000

$10 = $10,000
Profit: 8,000

For 1000 steem...

$1 is worth $1000
50c is worth $500
10c is worth $100
1c is worth $10

OR... we do buy more when price drops. Then...

$2 = $2,000 <<<----- We buy 1,000 tokens for $2000
(No. of tokens = 1,000)
Total cost/debt = $2,000
Profit: $0

*** $1 = $1000 <<<----- We buy 2000 more tokens for $2,000 ***
(No. of tokens = 3000)
Total cost = $4,000
Profit: $0

$2 = $6000 <<<----- Price back at $2. $2,000 profit already!
(No. of tokens = 3000)
Total cost = $4,000
Profit: $2,000

(+ $1500)
$2.50 = $7,500
No. of tokens = 3000)
Total cost = $4,000
Profit: $3,500

(+ $1500)
$3 = $9,000
Profit: $5,000

(+ $1500)
$3.50 = $10,500
Profit: $6,500

(+ $1500)
100% - $4 = $12,000
Profit: $8,000

...
$10 = $30,000
Profit = $26,000

For 3000 steem...

$1 is worth $3000
50c is worth $1500
10c is worth $300
1c is worth $30

See what I mean?

As long as you think it's going up again the the lower the price gets temporarily is an indication to BUY MORE.
