Yeah I very much don't have $5K SBD.
And I think I find it unfortunate that flagging is priority. The reason I came to the conclusion I did is because I feel that if we were to combine efforts in actual curation rather than throwing molotov flag bombs at abusers, we'd actually achieve the same thing by drying up the lake before they do. I thought that's how it worked, no? I mean yeah, flagging sends rewards back to the pool, but you also drain their rewards by upvoting and rewarding those you might feel actually deserve it. Is that not correct? Or maybe not as efficient?
Correct but you take away the drama and people will start looking into other things if not entertained. We started off as steemit and are regressing into Facebook status.
Not if they're getting paid. Unfortunately, most of the voting power that could be doing that is going towards flagging.
Yes VP is wasted on flagging in place of rewarding more users. Many are fighting a 2 person duo and there are many greater voting rings going on in plain sight. The best defense against voting rings is to give other people money.
Which is what I'd really love to do.
