not POS (Proof of Stake),
or even DPOS (Delegated Proof of Stake).
I give you FOW (Fruit of Work) a new term for the cryptocurrency mining that is done by content creators and curators.
Our man @oaldamster may have accidentally coined a new cryptocurrency mining protocol name without knowing it this morning in this post:

Its been mentioned in a number of places that the work done by content creators and curators on steemit is a form of cryptocurency mining and now we might have a new name for this type of mining.
It does have a funky ring to it and fits in with the other existing mining type naming conventions.
Show some love to @oaldamster our buddy from the Netherlands and upvote his post.

But how is it implemented?
On Linux, Windows, Android, IOS, Phone, tablet, PC.... you name it
anything with an internet connection that can type or click the vote button on :)
It is allready what we do here on SteemIt.
And you can FOW anywhere, anyplace at anytime.
