On steemit, you can write about anything and everything you like or want people to know. Steemit has given every steemian a page (A blog as you call it) to manage and get rewarded.
There is one vital thing in this world; there is never enough information, so there is always need for people to get informed.
Steemians want to be informed, they are looking for information.
Steemians who visit your page/blog do so because they want to be informed. They want to learn more and stay up to date on specific topics, issues and matters, be it finance, life, food, motivational words, life issues, stories, art and so on.
Do you have a reason to exist on steemit
Your existence on steemit should solve a lot of problem steemians have. These problems could include relieving boredom from people, dieting, health concerns, cryptocurrency news and updates and much more.
Instead of occupying space on the blockchain, why not add what you have to it. Add your knowledge, time and insight so as to solve the problems of others.
You wonder how meme gets lots of upvote. We are not sadists, we want to laugh. So many steemians can do lots of magic when it comes to humor, they can make a frustrated human laugh out his soul. So instead of struggling without going anywhere, why not be known for your brand of humor.

You do not expect to join the steemit community today and make 1 million dollars in 1 hour, such a magic will not happen. As you continue to put your time and energy into what you love to do best, you will begin to see changes. It might take time to establish your presence here.
Be patient, Be consistent, Keep up the good work and you will see your dreams coming through.
