Well I have to say that this rally was unexpected and I wish I had more Steem in the Power Bank... But hell, let this baby burn!!!
Steem has broken $5 per token which is just unreal at this point in the game. Everyone should see there posting payouts increase dramatically over the next few days and also everybody should see a nice boost in voting power too. I believe it's going to be a good year for Steemit - What a way to kick off the new year!
Jan 1st 2018 - Over $1 billion MarketCap!
In my last posting I was expecting Steem to be around $10 a year from now but it seems I may have to revise this a tad. If it is currently in mid rally without signs of slowing down, Steem could easily reach a $20-$50 range in 12months!
Wow. It's hard to imaging Steem even reaching $5 and if anyone would have told me it would reach this value last year... I would have called it a pipe dream or just complete non-sense!
I am sure glad that I got involved when I did and stuck around to watch this platform develop! Through the highs and the lows - there is no better social networking site that pays like good ol' Steemit.
Now is a great time to rub it into a friends face who joined and quit months ago
Also, it's probably wise to prepare yourself for a massive rush of new users here on Steemit. Every single time a pump occurs - A swarm arrives looking to see what the fuss is about.
Trust me on this, it is like clock-work every time.
Which, I'm definitely not saying it's bad, quite the opposite. As Steemit grows, so do the potential users who vote on your postings. Back in June/July when the last hoard came on-board, a whole new Steemit was born. New communities sprouted up and things have generally trended in a good direction for nearly every user here.
Anyways, I like to ramble so I will end it with this note.

I agree it is exciting. I hope ppl hang on to their Steem and don't rush to sell it. $10 Steem would be unreal I'd be very happy with that but honestly seeing 5.58 right now is sweeeet!

I've kind of jokingly said a few times that I think STEEM will be at $100 by the end of 2018, while I still say that with a bit of flippancy, seeing a strong run like this doesn't make seem quite as wild.
2018 is going to be big for crypto in general I think and right now steemit is more or less the sole player in the social media realm of blockchain tech... The sky is the limit!
Anything can happen in cryptoland - It seems competition is coming but until then, Steemit is the only place pretty much
