It's absolutely amazing to me, how people are reacting to sports figures "Taking a knee", and refusing to stand for the National Anthem!!! I've seen people call them "Millionaire Ingrates", I've seen people use this as an excuse to peddle their racist views, I've seen Politicians calling for a "Boycott"!!! As for myself, I made a commitment some time ago that I wouldn't stand for the song, unless the flag is displayed upside down. On the high seas, an upside down flag, is an international symbol for "Distress". The United States of America is deeply in distress!!!
I don't wish to make an issue of this, so I just don't attend Sporting events, or other venues, where I will have to make that choice.

Maybe a boycott of the NFL (And now the MLB, since baseball players are starting to join in) is a good thing!!! I've long felt, that these sporting events have become nothing but "Bread and Circuses", for the unwashed masses to flock to.... A way to divert the public's attention, while their pockets are picked.
Maybe these entitled rich degenerates, are protesting the fact that our Country invaded Afghanistan, killing 2,386 of our young troops, and maiming another 20,049 of them, all for no other reason than so Pharmaceutical Corporations could secure a cheap supply of opium for things like Oxycontin, Darvon, and other pharmaceutical opiate drugs.... $Billions worth!!!

If you are an American Citizen, you are witnessing the fall of the Great United States Empire!!! I'm not a young man, but I think in my lifetime I'll see the END of the United States!!! I want to puke every time I see one. People need to wake up and burn it. The flag represents the government not the people. It is the symbol of their enslavement. @cicicastor, Yeah, but I like the idea that there's a thriving expat community. We're thinking Ajijic, which is in the South end of the Country. We're looking at weather as well. (70-72f, or 21-22c year around!!) Exchange rate is currently just under 18 to 1. Makes my Social security check, or a little steem go a long way!!!
Not bad. Depending on where in Nicaragua you want to settle, there are thriving expat communities and the exchange rate today is 30.25 to the dollar!
