Yes, It started with the syscoin hack that suspended trading at Binance 10 days ago. The very next day, STEEM blockchain froze due to a bug and someone trying to exploit the bug. The STEEM blockchain froze to prevent anything bad happening. During that time Steemit Inc coordinated a software patch to fix the issue and got the witness nodes back in operation. Binance must run a STEEM node to enable transactions in and out of the exchange. It appears that the node needs the updated software and has been down this entire time. There is no information from Binance or Steemit Inc when the node will be back in operation.
