When I first started here on Steemit I was not new to the crypto space by any means, yet I still found it extremely difficult to navigate my way through the platform looking for the tools and resources I would later rely on. I had no idea what I was doing really but was willing to try things out and see what happened.
Flash forward more than two years and I would say that Steemit is a pretty big part of my life now. I have been able to network and learn new ideas as well as discover which blockchain tools are most useful in this blogging journey. Without these I would have had a harder time reaching my audience and finding new readers for my content. I would have also been earning a lot less per post and thus would have had to work harder for the same rewards.

There are many ways to earn by using the Steemit platform and making blog posts is just one of them, which I would later find out. Curation, delegation, staking, trading and gifting are all other ways that the token is utilized. By taking advantage of all the different ways to earn you can maximize your returns and get the most back for your time invested.
The one thing that people quickly realize about Steemit and social media in general is that it's not just about YOU. It is about who you interact with and what kind of communities you communicate with and support. What kinds of relationships you build and cultivate with other people determine your experiences along the way. If you want anyone to actually up-vote your content you have to go out and participate yourself, through comments, voting, re-steeming. Grow and nurture those connections and over time they will start to get stronger.
Once you start to grow a following you will begin to see more earnings but that is just the beginning. To take full advantage of your STEEM and STEEM Power you will have to start using it! This means casting votes typically but you won't always have time or the energy to do this. You can set up auto-voting to use your VP so it doesn't go to waste and you can even delegate it out to other people, essentially letting another person borrow your voting power when you aren't using it in exchange for either a payout or a larger up-vote in return. There are many different types of services that are offered in return for SP delegations each with a different Annual Percentage Rate (APR).
To see the profitability comparison of these delegation services go to Steem Profit

Setting up auto-voting can ensure you are rewarding authors you'd want to support, even when you aren't around to do so. In return you get a cut of the post-payout in the form of curation rewards. By curating lots of good content all of the time you receive a steady flow of micropayments from Steemit's reward pool. Although consistent, these payout are relatively small overall so I don't rely heavily on this source. Instead I delegate out the majority of my SP to a voting service (@TipU) in return for liquid STEEM payouts that I can then spend or re-invest as needed.
Here is my post all about Steemauto and setting up automatic voting

Some of the delegation services pay out in the form of an up-vote as I said above so this requires actually creating content from time to time. By bringing in more votes and rewards your post will actually gain more attention from the community. Like ants to sugar they will surely come to see what is so sweet about your content, and to get a piece of that delicious sweet stuff themselves. Additionally when your post earns more it ranks higher up on the trending, new, and hot pages. By using a variety of voting services you can earn more profit than if you were to have simply up-voted yourself with that same SP.
Here is an analysis of my current SP delegations to different services and their latest returns:
- @Canna-curate 1,000.305 SP- two $0.12 votes daily
- @Steem-ua 101.809 SP - $0.08 vote up to four times a week
- @Steembasicincome 200.061 SP- $0.06 vote daily
- @Steemcryptosicko 250.093 SP- $0.06 vote daily
- @Tipu 10,003.047 SP- ~5 STEEM payout daily (no vote)
My most recent post is sitting at a payout of $0.96 currently so you can see those votes add up pretty quickly when you have multiple sources! I like to monitor and control my delegations directly from SteemWorld by using their "Delegations" tab on the left, or you can also usually access the links directly from each service's blog.

I hope this information has helped and if anyone has questions feel free to ask.

Dear @hotsauceislethal
I found setting STEEM delegations via steemworld.com quite easy. However dealing with delegations on PALnet or SteemLEO is a nightmare. I have no idea how to even check who did I delegate or who delegated to me. Any idea?
Upvote on the way :)
Cheers
Piotr
I'm asking people on the PAL Discord channel right now for you. I will have and answer here soon when I find out more :-D!
Edit:
So nobody in the Discord server seemed to know of a place but from what I saw you can actually delegate the different tokens directly from your Steem-engine wallet. There is a little double sided arrow next to the tokens and you can click that and fill in who you want to delegate to and how much.
Dear @hotsauceislethal
Thx for your comment. I appreciate that you decided to reach out to PALnet guys. I tried and noone really replied (at all) to my questions so I gaved up already.
I already know how to delegate PAL, but I would like to see who did I delegate it to. Or who delegated to me. And that's a mystery so far .... )
ps.
Since you're so responsive, I thought that perhaps I could share with you my latest publication and ask about your own opinion on discussed subject:
"DID OUR WORLD LEADERS JUST PUSH GLOBAL RECESSION AWAY from our doorsteps?"

I would appreciate it greately.

I want to delegate X sp to @user
Where X is the amount of SP and @user is the steem user you want to delegate to. For example:
I want to delegate 100 sp to @hotsauceislethal
@tipU will answer with a delegation link. Hope this helps!:)
Dear @tipu
your comment didn't really help (I didn't ask about SP delegations). however I appreciate trying :)
