Today , i am gonna share with you my views on a recent decision made by indian supreme court about banning of sale of crackers during diwali.
But first let me tell you something about diwali as not everyone is aware of what diwali is and why we celebrate it.
As you already know India is also known as Land of festivals as it has huge amount of festivals celebrated throughout the year.
Diwali is one of the most important festival in India which marks the homecoming of Lord Rama after his conquering on an evil king Ravana. It is an integral part of festivals of India .Diwali is also known as festival of lights.
We Indians like to celebrate everything with joy and happiness and we decided to celebrate this festival , we decided to celebrate it in style i.e. by using crackers and lights.
And by crackers i mean a humoungous amount of crackers. Cracker industry is one of the biggest industry in India.
So, every year during diwali week , almost whole india burst crackers whole heartedly and during these celebrations , the air pollution in india increases dangerously beyond the allowed threshold. Generally , it surpasses the threshold and becomes twice or thrice times of what it should have been in first place.
Due to this reason , the Indian supreme court has to ban the sale of crackers around Delhi and NCR region as these two areas are most impacted due to air pollution and a poisonous smog surround these regions after diwali celebrations every year.
People are giving mix responses to this decision but I, personally support this decision of Indian Supreme Court as this will help in keeping the air pollution in limits.
From my personal thinking , it should have been banned in throughout India and not just near Delhi-NCR.
