I have about 1900 STEEM POWER. If I curate a random post - that is to say curate something late or something that does not skyrocket I get 0.004 STEEM POWER as reward. If I spend a lot of time and I get lucky I can make more…but this takes time and effort…
If I just sit and wait I get the same 0.004 STEEM POWER every 16.5 seconds.
I wrote a post about this the other day: rewards for content curators need to be increased, and why it matters.
In short, if we don't adequately reward people for curating, they won't curate. And ultimately that will lead to a suboptimal amount of quality being generated for the site.
I for sure agree. Great post of yours but due partly on what we talk about here not much reaction to it, sadly.
The above post is intended to be funny joyful take on a bigger issue - the concentration of curation power in the 'wrong' hands explained in more detail here, leaving someone like me with supposedly $7000 worth of steem power, to say nothing about smaller fish, feeling powerless to impact any posts fate even a tiny bit.
You mean you're not enjoying the shit out of curating the platform in its own right? Seeing it as a 'job' misses the point of 'getting rewarded for contributions and insights you are passionate about'
How is shaping something wonderful and seeing your influence materialize infront of your very eyes not fantastic?
