Wow, @everlove, you guys are on fire! I'm really looking forward to seeing where you go with this latest project :)
I love what you wrote about 'not being a contest' - non-competitive interactions are so much more enjoyable than those fraught with the tension of 'winning and losing' :) When I returned to Steemit recently I was encouraged to start entering the daily photo contests by a few people who presented them to me in exactly the light you've presented them here: as a way to connect and showcase AND enjoy the wealth of talent and creativity here on Steemit - a springboard to getting more quality content onto the blockchain. It took me a little while to be able to see them in that light, but having pushed myself past my comfort zone and into taking part, I totally get it now. The contests on Steemit really ARE a far cry from the contests I know and feel repelled by...And obviously, you are (as is your habit, I think!) taking that notion to another level again by removing even the 'contest' label and replacing it with an entirely collaborative approach...
I applaud your efforts and your spirit, Shellie. Steem on! Jay xx
I missed this comment @jaytaylor, but grateful I am finding it now! Your comments are always so thoughtful and personal. I really appreciate that about you.
Isn't it great that we can put our best foot forward and be appreciated, without being judged or made to be less than someone else. We all have something to give, and that is the beauty of Steemit...bringing our passionate best to the table. Collaboration over competition really seems to be a motivator for me, as supporting each other instead of trying to be better than each other really feels a lot more joyous!!
Thank you for the acknowledgement and for tuning into my blogs and the @museproject. I feel great things will be happening here. Infinite blessings to you dear Jay!
