Fascinating as always! Quick comment - the avg number of comments per posts is a bit misleading IMHO because there are TONS of posts (ie, from newbies without many followers) that get no comments or maybe 1 or 2 tops...then there are the posts from Whales that will get 20, 30, 50 ....or more comments. There's such a disparity there it's hard to really say what the "average" is. Just my 2 cents!

Maybe @penguinpablo could include a median for the number of comments per post. That together with the average that we get now would be more informative and show if there is a big disparity as you say. That is my 4 cents (literally what my opinion is worth here on steemit!).

Good point, the median would be better I guess.
@patcher @fanstaf - agreed! Just like we learned back in middle school, there's a big difference between mean, median, and mode ;)
