I am from venezuela and I joined steemit for the simple reason of getting ahead and earning me extra money because as everyone knows the salary here is not enough for anything .. and steemit is like a salvation in my life .. although I earn little money I do not understand sometimes because a simple memes has a reward of $ 200 while I brainstorm to publish quality content and only get a few cents .. as you say the whales are the great beneficiaries of having high amounts of steempower, I find it unfair that we minnows invest in a bidbots and someone comes to give us a downvote and our profit we go to the crap .. that causes a great demotivation
