Steem would be better off with better every day accessibility

in #steemit5 years ago (edited)

Steem is declaring itself as a top blockchain with speeds able to handle huge amounts of transfers per second, making Steem the fastest blockchain on the planet.

I think though Steemit has been missing its opportunity to be accessible to the average Joe, especially the proccess of buying, selling Steem and using it in every day life situation - even if that just means exchanging it with other crypto.

I have folks, friends and family that would be interested in investing in something reliable, but explaining the procedure of getting, selling, paying with Steem and teaching them to do all this on their own would need a year to explain, before they stop looking at it as if it was Voodoo Magic based on Algebra.

Steem needs accessibility for all the Dads, Moms, Grandmas, and next door working people, not just other companies! I know the plan is to create a buzz by enabling other companies build they bizz based on Steem blockchain, and that way attract other companies to do the same, but I assume, building a stronger base currency on Steemit itself would be more helpful for Steem to go mainstream.

Best Wishes!

You're absolutely right! I've been absent from Steemit and in the months I was gone much has changed. Even logging in, posting, working with the financial aspects, et cetera have different signon keys to use...

a language filter on your timeline could also be nice ;) and people are scared to switch away from FB, changes scare them and now we also have tokens to confuse people even more ;) .

but an app on mobiles would also help i guess , no idea if they have one these days no mobile user myself .

whats wrong with my language?

never said i was refering to your language ;) but some people post in languages i don't understand so no need to see those on my timeline ;) as in non english dutch or german cause those languages i do understand.

I agree something definitely more mobile user friendly. Some of the DApps would come into handy. I'm not sure one that constantly sticks with it.
