The first Bitcoin purchase was a pizza. I know people are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Steem wallets, etc., but we can already make direct transactions between users within the platform. Does anyone who has done this care to share what they bought and/or sold?
Check out this post by @steemrollin for more info.
Cheers.
There are roundabout steemit to store transactions happenin!
I just bought a Stainless Steel BBQ spatula with SteemDollars. I found it on Amazon.com, got a 17% discount ordering through Purse.io, paid 10.6 SteemDollars to Blocktrades for the BTC to pay the Purse.io bill, and it arrived in 4 days. Check out my step by step how-to guide to see how easy it is getting.
How to buy BBQ tools with Steem and get a discount
I bought a Steemit TShirt from @cryptojoy.com (which I'm wearing right now, actually) and he ended up refunding me because I also won his contest where the reward was... a free TShirt. :)
Excellent! Thanks for sharing, Luke.
I'm currently working on developing SBD notes. Physical SBD paper currency that can be redeemed for 1 SBD via a smart contract. I'm working on solving the chain-of-title problem that has plagued physical bitcoins. Stay tuned.
Indeed I will. Following you now as well so looking forward to staying up on your posts. I am very excited about all things cryptocurrency, but know shit about programming. The appreciation I have for those who do is significant.
