RE: Steem Value is Depreciated Because of YOU

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I don't think posting nonsense will push the price down, as it does not damage success of any other social media. But I do agree that it does not help at all, same as just waiting for any high ranking posts appears on your feed page so you can upvote them to get curator rewards, the idea is to really read content and if you like it, you upvote it. Anyway, as there are posts not worth anything, there will be good posts with good opinions like this one to balance the equation.

why will not posting low quality content not push the price down ?! for what reasons?

I think we can agree that there are a lot of low quality posts in every social media. Instagram, Facebook, Snapshot, etc. all have lame posts and it has not stoped users from using it. As it will not stop growth of steemit. I think price stability has to do more with if people like using steemit and if the comunity grows. And I think it will. What we think is lame, other people might like it. But what I think is bad for the community is upvoting any content just to speculate if it will be a next hit without even reading it. Curation was ment to keep good quality content "hot" and to promote great posts.
