Yesterday I was filtering stories with the "technology" tag. But today it's nowhere to be found.
There are also no tags for politics or gaming for ex. which are broad popular topics, but there is a tag for "smoothie" go figure...
Can someone explain to me how tags are created/removed from the front page, and how can I filter with tags that don't exist on the front page?

I think the tag in the front are based on trend - more popular get them in because if you go to the bottom and click on more topics (think it used to more filter but I'm not sure), it will open up this.

If you want to see technology stuff, you can try this.
https://steemit.com/trending/technology
after the page load, you can change trending to new or active or whatever others.

It would be great if they would allow us to enter any tag in the tag search field and it would just work.
