Questions about Steemit trading

in #steemit9 years ago

What is the current status of the trading rewards? I know there was a lot of controversy when I first joined and I have not seen a lot about how it might work now. Can someone fill me in or point me in the right direction?

THANKS!

What do you mean by trading rewards? You can buy and sell Steem and SBD on the internal market. You get whatever the market prices offer.

Sorry not trying to be rude, but obviously I know that. FYI Steem used to offer liquidity rewards to market makers on the internal markets. I am wondering what ever became of that system.

No worries. I didn't know about that and I didn't know your knowledge level :) Maybe it didn't last, but I'm sure someone out there knows.

It was a crazy program but it got gamed really badly. I am more of a hand trader so the bots just ran all over me and generated "fake" liquidity. A few people made a lot of money before the price crashed.

That's a shame. I'm not really a trader. Happy to interact here and earn Steem that way

I actually have been a trader as a full time job since I got out of college 15 or so years ago, so it seemed like a good fit. Was too lazy to learn to code, so all I have is my brain. I know enough to hire people to code for me, but for fast moving stuff its best to have it all within.

I also like interacting here and plan on doing it more going forward =)
