RE: Helsing: Governance Ideas (Good/Bad whales needed)

in #steemit6 years ago

I remember asking a question when I first read about Helsing, and I had asked how important decisions will be taken, who gets to make the rules. You have clearly answered this questions today and I think this is a very great concept.

I had fears that at some point, Helsing might become too powerful and too controlling but as you stated above, this might not hold for long as it's power can be dissolve within days of concrete complains.

Now I have one more question: as this account is going to be supported by certain people, how will it treat cases where it own supporters are at flaws? Will it have to balls to fight its very own pillar?

Sort:

If it gets the support I am looking for (top 200 or so delegating 1%) it would handle all evenly. It would also likely engage those 200 and they would abide by the rules they have set it anyway. If one does roam, the 75% majority can make their decisions. Remember that for the most part, these accounts are not working in unison, they are not aligned in their values and desires, they are not friends. It doesn't mean they can't work together at times.

I hope all gets well and we get a trial soon. Words won't be enough, action will speak.
