Below are a few suggestions on how we as individual users can help push Steem to the moon.
Not long ago I joined my favourite platform. I'm sure most of you have felt the same; steemit is addictive. Spending time on Steemit is absolutely worth it as the platform provides quality content which can never be perceived as a waste of time. I've never come across useless posts, in contrast to what happens when you scroll down your home page on most mainstream social media. Lots of valuable technical information is already available on what can grow to be the biggest blockchain based library ever.
It is undoubtedly a huge game changer with a bright future ahead! Steemit actually empowers the user, enabling them to reward other users substantially for their work. As a result, users are motivated to provide quality content and therefore build up the platform with care and respect. It's fair to say that this platform was designed to encourage the production and publication of original quality content and that's the concept behind creating steemit in my humble opinion.
Let's not forget about blocktrades! I mean isn't it wonderful? Fastest and most reliable trades ever with a huge variety of choices and without having to create another account to use it. The blockchain itself provides the fastest transactions with zero fees! Amazing Steem!
STEEM OFFERS COUNTLESS TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES!
SO WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP IT EXPLODE?
I've got a few ideas:
Spread The Word.
We need to make sure our family and friends learn about Steemit. Share your experience with them! Most of the points I raised in the first two paragraphs aren't even obvious if you are already a new user so I can only guess the masses completely ignore those. Try to brainwash your people! I mean there are lots of altcoins attracting investment out there and they are no match for Steem. Same goes for social networks. I bet their share holders are terrified by Steemit's future potential! Let's terrorize them by making Steemit mainstream! Can you imagine how much more everyone would earn if the number of steemit users doubled , with all those people upvoting and resteeming stuff? We're talking about exponential growth!
Promote Steemit on Social Media.
We all use facebook (hate to overgeneralize)! We all know how powerful of a platform it actually is and how fast the news spread on facebook. Even your television couldn't provide such prompt briefings and news (if you haven't already tossed it). So why not use the power of Facebook to make Steemit head news? Same mentality applies for Youtube, everyone of us visits Youtube at least once a day. If any Steemian of you is also a Youtuber then consider making a Youtube video just to raise awareness on Steemit. Just imagine what could possibly happen if we had a Steemit tutorial on the trending page of Youtube for a couple weeks. EXPLOSION!
Attract Investors to Steemit.
The basic principle is that there are everywhere people with some extra funds laying around that are willing to invest if you can convince them. Those people might be your family members, your friends, your friends' family members or friends of your friends. Didn't mean to confuse you! I just wanted to demonstrate how you can gain access to investment. However, investors need to feel trust. Nobody would risk losing their hard earned money, so nobody would invest without a feeling of safety. If you can provide a solid, reasonable plan with all numbers sorted out then you are ready for business and that's how start up companies are established. But you don't need any plan in this case! Steemit has everything figured out for you! It basically enables you to start your own business if you can provide quality content! I'm sorry but this thing is so perfectly and meticulously designed that I refuse to call it a blog; I call it a business.
Reward Talent and Work Ethic.
As I've mentioned before, this blockchain is a live organism. We need to feed it the best of us and treat it with the utmost respect. Steemit's success depends on its users' attitude and work ethic in the first place. Steemit is the platform that educated people and deep thinkers love the most so we need to make sure we do our best to preserve its quality. I'm very satisfied to have witnessed powerful users reward minnows with generosity and that's because these powerful users are using their influence to promote quality and talent and not just blindly support their friends or partners. Steemit provides this feeling of justice and one can rest assured that they will be rewarded according to their efforts. There are many wonderful people out there supporting minnows by upvoting their quality work and I seriously can't express how much I appreciate them for what they're doing for Steemit. So please, do the same. It doesn't matter if you have a powerful account or not, reward talent and quality work. If we reward quality we shall make it the norm and this applies to all aspects of life.
Be Kind and Respectful.
I believe respect and kindness to be extremely important for the growth of this wonderful community. I love how Steemit attracts highly educated users with caring souls. Staying kind and respectful ensures all those lovely people will stick around and even consider inviting their friends and family to join. Win- win! I 'd love to watch the platform grow full of such beings. We all contribute to making the world what it is and Steemit is our beautiful world, let's keep treating it with respect. Each and everyone of us active users is a vital part of this live blockchain and we need to rush to their aid when in need!
In conclusion, I spend a lot of my time thinking of ways to promote Steemit more efficiently and assist it to explode promptly. I'm not driven by greed, my efforts are motivated by excitement and curiosity. I'd love to wake up one day to hear the news that Steemit is the number one social network in the world and to see how that serves society for the better. I'm a believer of that.

I'm sure steemit will grow pretty nicely, especially now we have dtube, dsound & other applications like busy.org which gives steemit a more Facebook type UI.
I plan to leave all centralised platforms on 1 Jan 2019 to go fully decentralised.
Decentralisation is here to stay & I will be backing all forms of it as this is the best way forward, in my opinion.

I really like Steemit as well. Thanks for this article. I really think just having users use steemit to continue conversations and post other things, even about crypto currency will make Steemit even more valuable. I agree with most of what you say @@@lordneroo, and I admire your enthusiasm. This is indeed an exciting place to be and a great adventurous experiment that we're all involved in, that shows a great deal of promise as it evolves, but when you say "I've never come across useless posts", I hope you don't mind, but I have to wonder, "have you really looked around steemit, including the trending posts?", as there are a lot of posts with very poor quality content posted on steemit.
Thankfully though, there is a good amount of very high quality posts and posters.
I feel we should keep it real though, there are also many issues, and a fair amount of work and evolving to do. If we push it as being the best social media site ever, many will come and be disappointed and leave. Push it as 'favourite' social media for sure, and that it's unique and shows great promise, especially to content providers and to encourage people that now is the time to be here.

Well-said. Do we know how well steemit would handle such a large influx of adoption? I mean, look what happens with btc and other crypto...how resilient is the network?
@dandelion A few weeks back , Steem was handling more transactions per second than ETH and BTC combined like a boss! This blockchain has way too many technical advantages.
